Altar Servers

The role of the altar server is to assist the priest at mass. Servers are scheduled to serve in groups of three, approximately once a month. Volunteers are adults, teen and children (who have received First Communion).

Arts and Environment

This ministry is responsible for the decoration of the church to reflect the liturgical seasons. They also clean Communion vessels and preform light cleaning in the sanctuary (altar, tabernacle, railings). Individuals are scheduled on a team every 3-4 weeks to meet for 2-3 hours on Friday mornings, and are on a 3-4 week rotation.

Extraordinary Ministers of Holy Communion

These are Confirmed parishioners who assist the priest in the distribution of Holy Communion at mass.  Volunteers are scheduled in teams of three, about every 4-6 weeks and should arrive 15 minutes before mass.

Gift Bearers

The role of Gift Bearers is to bring the gifts of bread, wine and weekly offering to the altar during mass. They may volunteer to serve as a family or as individuals, serving in groups of two or three. They are scheduled every 4-6 weeks.

Hospitality

Volunteers are responsible for arriving 20-30 minutes before mass. They greet and welcome parishioners and visitors, providing assistance to those needing help upon entering the church for mass, and distributing bulletins.

Music / Choir

Music for mass is provided by those in this ministry. The Senior Choir (High school students and adults) sings Sunday mornings, accompanied by the organ. They practice half an hour before Sunday mass and are invited to sing at funerals if available. Volunteers Saturday evening join a guitarist in providing music for mass.

Readers

Readers are mature adult or teen parishioners (who have been Confirmed) who proclaim the word of God at church liturgies. They are scheduled to read every 4-6 weeks and should arrive 15 minutes before mass.

Ushers

Ushers collect the weekly offering from parishioners and may serve as Hospitality Ministers as well.
